A Mission of Caring
A hospital visit is not usually a pleasant experience. Instead, it can be a time of pain, suffering,
loss, grief, anxiety, loneliness and fear.
Our mission is one of restoring and maintaining health and healing as a Seventh-day Adventist
community outreach, reflecting the caring initiative that Jesus has instilled in us.
Members of the Department of Pastoral Services are available to all of our patients, families and
staff for prayer, counsel, support, reading of Scripture, and other services as requested. You or
your family member/friend can also request a visit. We also assist clergy or pastoral visitors
coming to visit their fellow members.

We are for ever thankful to the generosity of Charles F. Kettering, one of the most prolific
inventors of our time and the vision of his son and daughter-in-law Eugene and Virginia Kettering.
It is because of their generosity that we exist and we carry on the Kettering's heritage of giving
back to our community.
